Missy

Missy is home and there was no cancer.  Hooray!!!!! My world is right again.  She was so glad to get home.  She is mad at me though.  I guess it will take some time to regain her trust. I was really worried about Daisy last night.  She was so depressed.  She wouldn't eat anything until I brought Missy home this morning.  She was so glad to see Missy.  She had dragged Missy's pillow out of Missy's crate and dragged it to hers and was sleeping on it this morning. Animals love and they grieve.  And I love them.

Problems with my friends

I took Missy to the vet today.  She has developed a  large tumor in her side.  I was worried about it.  So I took her in to see Dr. David.  He drew fluid from the tumor and told me there were two tumors there.  He did the slides and told me that one was a fat tumor and no problem, but that the second tumor had some strange looking cells.  He is going to remove those tumors next Wednesday and biopsy them.  He is betting on cancer.
I am hoping that the cancer is contained in the tumor and she will be ok.  Missy is 12 or 13, not sure because my daughter picked her up on the side of the road 12 years ago.  I know she won't live that many more years, but I will so hate to lose her.  She is a sweetie even though she dug up my backyard and ate the sheetrock in my dining room when she was younger.  Keep your fingers crossed for us.  If it is cancer and not contained, I will make her comfortable and let her finish her life.  I will not subject her to hurtful surgeries to just buy her a few months.  Quality of life should always be chosen over quanity.

Off Course

I am veering off course a little today.  I have been thinking about my sister and her son.  She lost her son a little over a year ago.  He was 15.  And I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that he is gone.  He was always one heck of a kid.  He was smart and interested in every topic.  We never treated him like a child because he never acted like one.  He was always old beyond his years. He was an old soul.   And he was so very sweet.   I looked at some pictures that were posted on Facebook today of him and I just can't stop crying.  He should not be gone.  My God, what a hole he left in so many lives.  Hug your kids and tell them you love them every day.  You never know when you won't have them.  The last words he said to his mother before he went to play basketball with his buddies was "I love you, Mommy."

Little Lost Dog

I went back this morning as soon as it was light.  I spent 3 hours looking for that little dog.  I could not find him.  I am praying that someone kind found him.  I can't stop worrying.

Humans are the lowest life form

I have decided I hate humans.  I saw a little dog running down the street tonight.  He was scared to death.  I could not get around the cars to get to him and all they were doing was honking at him.  By the time I got away from the idiots, the little dog was nowhere to be seen.  I drove around the neighborhood for 3 hours trying to find him.  I could not.  I hope each and every one of those fools in those cars feel the same fear that little dog felt.  They don't deserve to share this planet with other animals.  Yep.  Humans are the lowest life form on this planet.  I will start my search again early in the morning.  Hopefully, I will find him.  I have been crying since I got home.
