Cat food

I had been feeding my cats Whiskas wet food in the pouches, the seafood variety.  I went to Petsmart Sunday to get more cat food.  I noticed something had been added to the packaging--place of origin.  This food is made in Thailand.  Sorry Mars.  I will not be using your food anymore.  I won't take a chance with my cats.  It is bad enough when pet food made here in our country can harm our animals, but to outsource to another country.  Nope.  Won't use it.  I'll shop around for another.  Right now they are eating Purina, but I think it is outsourced.  I am now going to find our.  All the label says is "printed in the USA."  Will post when I find out.

Fleas

For the first time in years I am having a problem with fleas.  Knowing Missy is allergic to Advantage, I bought Adams spray.  I used this when it first came on the market in the 1980's and it worked great.  The problem with the first generation spray was that you have to use it every three days.  I bought it by the gallon.  This spray is supposed to last 2 months.  I will say Missy is sleeping better tonight than she has in a long time.  I hope this works.  I can use it on the little dogs and the cats.  I just spray a towel and wrap each one in in for about 5 minutes.  We'll see.

Can't forget

I still see the little dog I could not rescue back in March.  I will forever see his eyes.  He was so scared.  I so hope someone found him and is loving him.  It just breaks my heart that I could not get him.

Been busy

I've been kinda busy since Daisy had her tooth taken out.  She is fine.  In fact, I was tempted to ask Dr. Don if he could put it back because she was so hyper after the pain stopped.  I would never do that to her.  It has been raining, Yes raining! in Texas so my little guys are always dirty so bathing about twice a week.  Duncan has settled in quite well.  He defends the cul-de-sac all the time now.  He and Jock sit with their chins on the windowsill and do guard duty.  When I come home from work, both are standing up at the window barking for all they are worth.  Now if I could just get Duncan housebroken.  He was already about 8 when he came to me and not housebroken so it is a real challenge.  Does no good to fuss at him.  He doesn't even know what I am fussing about.  Hopefully, he will eventually catch on.
