Abby

I'm off to see Dr. Don this morning with Abby.  I hope it is only impacted anal glands.  I knew she wasn't feeling well last night and this morning she is in obvious pain.  I will do whatever it takes.  She has been through thick and thin with me.  I could not have asked for a better friend.  When I have been down, she sat in my lap and licked away the tears.  All she wants is to be near me.  Can't find a human being that will give that unconditional love.  So, yep, I will do whatever it takes.

I prefer my little guys to people

I thought I had heard it all from our politicians, but they sunk to a new low yesterday.  They are taking a 7 week vacation to try and figure out what they country wants them to do.  Really?  Yep.  I prefer my 4 legged friends.  They make more sense.  My last rescue, Duncan, has really made me his person.  I left them out in the back yard a little longer than usual the other day.  Daisy started barking, so I went to see what she was barking about.  Daisy, Missy, and Jock came tearing in the house.  No Duncan.  So I tear around the house, out the gate to the front.  I was so scared he had gotten to the street.  Nope.  He was at the front door scratching on it.  When I called his name, he came crawling to me wagging his tail.  I picked him up and he wrapped both front paws around my arm.  He wasn't trying to leave.  He was looking for me.  I guess I am the first person who was ever really his.

Little Lost Dog

I got home from work on Friday.  I checked my email to see if I had anything of the little dog I had found.  Yep.  I had an email.  It merely said "I think you have my dog." and gave a telephone number.  I called the number and when I got an answer, I asked him to tell me about his little dog.  He described this lost dog to a tee.  Ok, I'll meet your at WalMart and if she does not run straight to you, you are not getting her. She ran straight to him.

Turns out that they had left her and their other dog in the back yard when they went to Wal Mart and a thunderstorm blew up.  This little dog is petrified of loud noises and thunder.  She wiggled out of the yard and was just running.  They had not had her long and had gotten her from some people who had abused her.  While we are talking she is busy licking the man's face.  It really felt good to get her home.  Her name is Zoe, by the way.
